Possible Herring Gull variant on the right
Iceland and Herring Gulls
Common Gull
A strikingly white Common Gull was near Balemore yesterday.

Today there were two Iceland Gulls on machair being cultivated together with another pale gull with an all dark bill that was perhaps a Herring Gull variant.

Still some skuas trickling through with 18 Pomarines recorded by other observers well before I arrived and a six and a three later although no prolonged watching. Also a single Long-tail. Maybe there would have been a few more this evening.
