Osprey on Benbecula

Post by Stuart Taylor » 14 Sep 2015, 19:53

Whilst carrying out my Webs count of the West Benbecula Lochs today there was a knock on my truck door and a local crofter told me of a weird bird which he'd seen. "Like A buzzard" but white underneath. I followed his directions expecting to see a very pale buzzard and so was surprised to see a female Osprey perched on a fencepost looking a little lost. I quickly took a record shot in case the bird flew off, which it did. It flew off in the direction of the Gualan and Hebridean Jewellery and may still be in the area.
