As for Bruce on Barra there have been a couple of Yellow-browed Warblers on North Uist in the last couple of days. One was found by Bill Allan in Peggy Hill's garden at Claddach-vallay and the other was at Callernish. Also here was a Black Redstart. Some other sightings have included 57 Whooper Swans (Loch Eaval), a few Chiffchaffs, Blackcaps and Bramblings, also Siskins while the largest flock of Redwings was of some 150 and Goldfinch about 30. A few photos of the Black Redstart are attached.

There was yet another Yellow-browed Warbler in the last few days - seen and photographed by Tony yesterday afternoon in sycamore trees at Port of Ness.

Five in early November exceptional. The latest record I can find was on 13th November 2008 and there have been only half a dozen others (apart from one on 10th the others up to the 4th).
