A couple of photos attached of a Bar-tailed Godwit that stood out from the other eight that were at Traigh lar this morning by its much larger size. Measurements significant between ♀'s and ♂'s of course but I can't recall seeing one that stood out so much before. According to BWP geographical variation clinal with L.l baueri of north-east Siberia and western Alaska the largest with populations breeding in northern Siberia between Khatanga river and Kolyma delta intermediate between nominate lapponica and baueri.
