Red-necked Phalaropes

Post by MisterT » 25 May 2016, 20:06

Away from the furore of the Black-billed Cuckoo, Red-necked Phalaropes arrived last week and have been displaying well ever since. Iceland Gulls were seen at Stinky Bay and Stoneybridge and the Common Crane was quite mobile, moving between Nunton and Grogarry.

Here on “the patch” at Askernish, Spotted Flycatcher, Siskin and Nightingale have been welcome additions to the year list.
