The bird was back fishing at Oban Irpeig (between Carnach and Clachan-a-Luib) yesterday where it was photographed by Brian Gibbs staying in the holiday cottage at Carnach. See posting for 23rd June when the bird was here for several days and seen by Rob Fuller staying in the same cottage. Today the Osprey flew over just before 10.00 hours but did not stop and continued on to the west.

When Brian dashed back to the cottage to get his camera and record the Osprey he was then amazed to see a Crane come into view. A most unusual double for the Outer Hebrides with Osprey and Crane in the same image.

Also an unusual double - at least for the time of year - on nearby Loch Leodasay is a Pink-footed Goose closely accompanied by another goose that appears to be a White-front. Only distant views so far but these suggest albifrons (NE Europe. N Siberia) rather than flavirostris (Greenland).

There have been several sightings of Osprey this year, the first being in May, so perhaps it was not so surprising to find one at Loch Hallan today.
