hawfinch

Post by Bruce » 06 Aug 2016, 19:03

Another hawfinch was on Barra this afternoon, this time at Morghan. It was feeding on the ground at close range and looked entirely bedraggled in the rain. Also today a grasshopper warbler at Brevig, most likely a migrant although several males were singing here in the spring.

Great photo Bruce :) Also glad that you managed to record some Grasshopper Warblers this year - sadly, we haven't recorded them in Askernish for the last four years running :(
