Barra Moths

It was worth braving the Barra midgies on Saturday evening (27th August 2016) to set the trap at Eoligarry. The catch was reasonable considering the trap was used on battery power with a 20W blacklight. 15 species were recorded including Heath Rustic (see photo), Autumnal Rustic, Rosy Rustic, Antler, Smoky and Small Wainscots, Large Yellow Underwing and a couple of micros including Eana penziana (see photo).
