Well, looking at the forecast last night I didn't think i'd be able to get the trap out again until next weekend so set a trap up in my garden and in the garden next door. 21 species total from the two gardens, including Small and Smoky Wainscots, Gold Spot, Beautiful Golden Y, Chevron, Large and Lesser Yellow Underwings, Antler, Northern Deep Brown Dart, Autumnal Rustic, lots of Ear spp and a Red-line Quaker (see photo) - not something i see very often here.

The rain started late morning so I was happy that i'd been through the traps and id'd all the moths early in the morning so that they could be released well before the bad weather set in.
