OHBR Species of the Month

Post by christinej » 08 Nov 2014, 09:14

There is a new feature on the OHBR website: Discovering Wildlife Month by Month http://www.ohbr.org.uk/Biodiversity/dis ... -month.php.
We hope that it will encourage to look for these easily identifiable species and send in your records.

The species for November is the Meadow Waxcap Hygrocybe pratensis you can find full details and photographs on the OHBR website: http://www.ohbr.org.uk/Biodiversity/dis ... s.php?id=1
The waxcap season is a little later than usual this year, so there is still plenty of time to get out and about and have a look for these lovely grassland fungi.
