Fungi on the Uists

Post by christinej » 26 Sep 2013, 09:26

We have been asked if we can organise a Recording and Identifying Fungi event on the Uists. Chris Johnson has agreed to lead a session on grassland fungi. So if you want to know the difference between a waxcap, pink gill and an earth tongue, now's your chance. If you are interest please contact Christine Johnson (admin@ohbr.org.uk).

This was a great day. The sun shone, there were plenty of fungi to be found and a lot of folk turned out. I for one was inspired to try out my waxcap ID skills after the event. Thanks to Chris and Christine for organising and everyone who turned out.
