Blowfly survey

Post by christinej » 07 Feb 2015, 08:58

Blowfly survey - volunteers wanted, N and W Scotland
There are plans for a national survey of blowflies (bluebottles, greenbottles and their allies, Calliphoridae) starting in 2015. We are looking for volunteers, especially in more remote areas, who would be willing to run traps and send the catch every month for a year to the coordinator for identification.
If you are interested in participating please complete the form on:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1uQc-dP ... k/viewform
You do not have to identify the flies, but if you are interested you can find more information on the following links:
http://www.nhm.ac.uk/nature-online/spec ... ra-vicina/ and http://www.hbrg.org.uk/FoHW/Calliphora/Calliphora.html.
Don't be squeamish, you may be disgusted but you will be fascinated!
