Brent Geese on the Move

While walking along the beach at Askernish after the wind and rain had eased, there was a large movement of Brent Geese. A total of 537 birds were counted in several skeins moving south just off shore in 30 minute period as well as 210 Black-tailed Godwits, 134 bar-tailed Godwits and 32 Whimbrel.
